March 11, 2026The folks at Thermal Aviation were awesome. They were helpful right from the minute we showed up. Fuel prices and hangar fees were reasonable too.

February 24, 2026Be really careful flying into this place. Locals call it "Thermal Traffic" on CTAF, and that creates a lot of confusion for first-timers in the area. Our crew just barely avoided a mid-air because "Thermal Traffic" and "Cochran Regional Traffic" calls were conflicting/confusing each other. Totally get it... AC 90-66c is very clear that it SHOULD be "Cochran Regional Traffic" per all the publications, but nobody is right if everyone is dead. Listen for "Thermal."

February 22, 2026Thermal Aviation is awesome. Derek, Raul, and everybody I dealt with were helpful, friendly, and got things done quick. The other FBO's are probably solid too but I'll never find out because I'm going back to Derek and his team at Thermal Aviation every time I'm at TRM.
