November 3, 2025Cool small facility in the middle of the desert! There’s food and restrooms close by. The museum around the corner was closed, but it was still neat to see the tanks thru the fence. Very quiet air traffic wise. Picturesque desert scenery. Absolutely worth a stop!

January 16, 2025The restaurant food is good and Mrs. Chiriaco is a hoot. The Patton museum is fantastic, it was a lot more than I was expecting and you have the opportunity to drive a tank, yes a tank. Get a Foster's Freeze on the way back to the ramp. Great tie down chains, all airport ramps should offer these.

July 2, 2024Restaurant opens at 7am. Online it states 6am but that is not accurate. Restrooms are tidy. The convenience store restroom is shut across the way, so everyone appears to queue for the lavatory at the restaurant. Heavy duty chains for tiedowns. The runway is narrow, but ample space for 172. Menu appears fine and food is good. Winds are somewhat rough along the freeway during the summer. No fuel no FBO.
