June 21, 2026Took my Bonanza into KSAV and stayed for three nights. I first used Signature, where the rate was $72 a night, with no fuel-purchase discount available. They did offer to waive the $25 handling fee if I bought fuel. I ended up moving the plane across the field to ShelAir. Their overnight fee was $21, the 100LL price was essentially the same as Signature's, and the FBO lobby had better facilities.

June 11, 2026I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was worth mentioning. I normally like Signature FBOs, though this one fell short. The $30 handling charge was waived with fuel, but overnight parking for a single-engine piston still came out to $72. I understand fuel costs more at a major airport, but charging $36 for a single quart of Phillips XC 20W-50 is too much. If you can, I’d go with a different FBO.

March 16, 2026Both times I’ve come in lately, Savannah Approach has vectored me all over the place, basically keeping me in a hold for about 10 minutes. Maybe it was just a busy time of day. Not a huge deal, just expect that if you’re coming in VFR on a nice day.
