Excellent visit at Sheltair FBO KMLB. Arrived in a Baron 58, and everything from landing through departure was spot-on. The line crew was fast, professional, and attentive, fuel was taken care of quickly, and the staff really went out of their way to work around our schedule. Clean, first-class facilities as well. Our drop-off on the 29th and pickup on the 31st went off without a hitch. Definitely top-notch and highly recommended. Tower and ground control were great too-both arrival and departure were handled very professionally.

Fine airport, good flight school on the field (I drive over an hour to do my currency training with them), but ATC at KMLB is consistently unfriendly. If you're on point they are curt, but fine. However, one controller there is probably the most unprofessional I've ever encountered. Heard him tell one pilot (not me), "taxi clear. I'm done with you guys," and similar to other pilots. Granted, there's a lot of flight training and not every pilot there is bringing their A-game, but...wow.

Really fine spot, not overly active but staffed until 10pm. Provided our crew car and refreshments free of charge. Fuel is not extremely costly. Machines to file flight plan and check weather. In general very fine. Dropped us off at lodging also
