May 18, 2026On a flight from Florida up to PA in my Piper Lance, the engine started vibrating and seemed to lose power. I happened to be over KSSI, so I put it down right away. The FBO sent me to KIRK RAMSEY at PALMETTO AVIATION REPAIR on the field. He wasn't officially open when I got there, but he was around, found the issue fast, and traced it to fouled plugs in cylinder number 1, including one with a cracked insulator. He had the parts on hand, got us airborne again in under an hour, and wouldn't even let us pay! THANKS KIRK

April 13, 2026AFTER SEEING THE COMMENTS AND TAKING INTO ACCOUNT HOW MUCH TRAFFIC USES THIS AIRPORT, MAYBE IT'S TIME TO THINK ABOUT ADDING A CONTROL TOWER!
