June 15, 2026No fuel available. Call 906-847-3323 ahead of time if you need the horse-drawn carriage into town-it takes about 30 minutes and carries 9–12 passengers. Cost is $11 per person. I skipped calling ahead and ended up waiting 75 minutes.

June 11, 2026Visited for the first time this summer and it’s an awesome spot. Call ahead to arrange the horse cab. Plenty of parking, tie downs, and chocks are available for nominal fees. Get your gas across the water in St Ignace.

September 24, 2025Good fly-in destination. Airport is managed by the state park and although staffed it is not a full service FBO. There is a noise abatement procedure that involves staying over the water in the pattern until on final to avoid flying over the island. Green Bay Radio FSS is still reachable on the ground on 122.3 for closing flight plans and getting IFR clearances.
