June 27, 2025Landed at HRL for a beach trip and the controllers were good keeping me informed on a wide area of thunderstorms. Stayed several nights at Gulf Aviation and rented a Nissan from Charlie Clark. I did all the paperwork via text and had the vehicle delivered at the FBO for no extra charge. Line guys and staff were super friendly.

December 11, 2024KHRL project of extending a runway has commenced. It will ultimately feature the longest runway south of San Antonio. The present tower is going to be demolished. AT&T has started extending the fiber and copper cables to temporary facilities.

November 24, 2024Sun Valley Aviation was good. They brought our rental car out to the plane for us to unload our baggage. It was fine that they have early hours. We were able to leave rental car with them and had a wheels up of 8am.
