Atlantic Aviation HPN West at Westchester County Pilot ReviewsOverall Rating:

Shockingly shoddy facility for a ritzy airport like HPN. The chairs and couches were all worn out and torn like they came out of a fraternity common room, no beverages available besides coffee machine, soda machine upstairs in flight school didn't operate, understaffed line personnel. Called ahead for a quick turn and still needed to wait forever for fuel. Ramp was dangerously icy. Quite horrendous experience overall.

Atlantic Aviation staff at HPN are always helpful and attentive. Thanksgiving 2024 was no exception What WAS surprising was a new $20.00 "Special Event" charge tacked onto the statement upon leaving. Apparently Thanksgiving (and Christmas week) are thought of as special events and cause for inflating the bill after Security Fees, Handling Fees and Landing Fees. Were these not sufficient?

The team at smstange west, from management to front desk and line guys are awesome! I used to be transient but now I’m based there. They are professional, helpful and fun to be around.

A far cry to millionair lol, even as a guy the restroom was, well I'm going to just hope it was water all over the stall floors

Stayed here for a couple evenings (C182) - June 2025 - Line crew & FBO personnel were top notch. Hired a vehicle from main terminal (National) - FBO staff gave me a ride around to collect and managed return when we were prepared to depart. No simple refueling selection, so worth the added cost to pay for the tank (next time!). Fees were waived with 11g LL, otherwise ($40) handling. Landing fees ($7), security ($10), parking ($20/night) - all deemed sensible considering location.

I drop in occasionally to drop off my son. Just a heads up. Ross West use to waive the ramp fee when I dropped in if I purchased 7 gallons Min. Now that is 15 gallons to waive the ramp fee. Still good service and they waived the fee this time.

Flying in from "away" for many seasons I’ve tried a few others and can assert that Ross is completely the finest. They value your patronage (even a small Skylane like mine). They make an effort to gain your patronage unlike others who would not bother with smaller planes. Fuel costs are elevated as at most big hubs but comparable with the rivals. Tie-down fees are fair. I believe a component of their method is minimal staff rotation. Following over a year of COVID-caused gap personnel at the line and desk all recalled me with pleasant welcomes. It seems nice to feel welcomed. Neil G.
