November 20, 2025Flew into GRR for a day trip and was treated well by all of the controllers from clearance to tower. I went to Avflight FBO which was superb. I'm thankful for these larger airports continuing to be so supportive of GA pilots.

September 20, 202410/20/2024 First time flying my Mooney into GRR. Approach, tower and ground are a first class act. The FBO I used was Avflight, my wife and I were very impressed with their facility and how courteous and professional the entire staff was. I noticed it didn't matter if you arrived in a corporate jet or small single, everyone received the same courteous treatment. Overnight hangar and fuel prices are inline.

APT Lighting Schedule: When atct closed actvt malsr runway 08r, 26l, & 35; reil runway 08l, 26r, & 17; hirl runway 08r/26l & 17/35; mirl runway 08l/26r - CTAF.
Birds on & in vicinity of airport.
Contact FBO for their hours of opn.
Designated Customs Landing: Mon-fri two hours ppr for customs call 616-942-5245, pager 616-249-5380. call prior to 1600 on preceding friday for after hours svc.
For cd when tower closed contact great lakes approach at 269-459-3344, when approach closed contact chicago artcc at 630-906-8921.
Noise abatement procedures: runway 08r dep on runway heading until reaching the hwy east of airport; runway 26l on approach to airport turn final at hwy east of airport.
Note: Security Directive SD-8G
