Maryland Air (KESN)

The staff were rude!! A sour finish to an otherwise lovely visit to the Oaks Waterfront Hotel and the surrounding towns.

I’ve been flying in for years and am always pleased at the friendliness of the personnel. Courtesy cars are always accessible, and fuel is delivered promptly always. S. Messinger

In a word, awful. I have been flying for 28 years and have never had as bad an experience as I did with Maryland Air. I was staying for 2 nights and had information and a fuel order sent to them thru ForeFlight. The fellow in the FBO was annoyed by my presence, gruff, and totally unhelpful. He literally told me to call Easton Jet and directed me to the phone number on the poster on the wall. I called them and they were polite, professional, and offered the kind of service and help I have come to enjoy from the aviation community. I lit the fires, and taxied down to Easton Jet, where the line folk and FBO could not have been better! Maryland Air should be your third choice of the 3 FBOs at KESN….although the restaurant there did look fine.

Maryland air was awesome, put fuel order thru Foreflight and lineman was waiting with fuel truck when we pulled up. Gave discount on fuel. Had sweet bun at restaurant, good experience.

EJ went above and beyond to get us a rental car when we had to land here due to high winds. Will certainly be stopping in here again.

Calvin is back here this morning. He took me to the hotel after 7 last night, and he’s back at 7 this morning. MD Air needs staff but they’re tough to locate these days. Calvin is working his butt off to take up the slack. Outside right now he’s fueling a Chieftain and a Cheyenne appears to be looking for fuel also. This is wild. However no blame accrues to the FBO for the nationwide employees shortage, and Calvin is awesome. My hat’s off to him. When coming to Easton, expect superb service at the airport, esp. at MD Air. The restaurant is amazing, I just had the French toast. Don’t believe any adverse comments you might be seeing on net right now, they are false. But do try to arrange for ground transportation ahead of time. The cab companies are short employees also and I had to bum rides from folks to whom I am most grateful to get around.

Good small welcoming eatery! Fine spot for breakfast and lunch!
