March 4, 20263 souls showed up Saturday AM for lunch in my Cardinal. 15 other planes were sitting on the ramp with the same idea. All the bicycles were already being used. Word was the golf carts were not available and there are no plans for more, according to the new airport manager, a veteran who "loves his job". The 3rd phone call finally got it done when Carter at the City Seafood restaurant said he would haul us over and back, and he got a generous tip for the trouble. Hang in there and it pays off — if you call enough restaurants, you're bound to find a ride and still enjoy Everglades dining!

February 21, 2026Stopped in over the long weekend. Really good hospitality. Had a few planes come in from our EAA Chapter. Don't forget to swing by the FBO so they get credit for your visit. Let's keep this place open.

February 11, 2026Cool little airport right on the water, and the fuel was cheap. They were handing out free golf cart rides into town. The guy giving the rides said the airport is under threat of being shut down by city council, with real estate developers pushing hard for it.
