Runway's in decent shape overall. A few cracks here and there, but nothing that looks unsafe. If the wind cooperates, I'd go with landing 21 and departing 3. Terrain climbs fast off both ends of the runway, and it's tighter in on the approach to 3. No buildings at all. Just the strip, a parking pad with 5 tie downs in decent shape, a small car lot, and a picnic table. Easy walk over to Sierraville Hot Springs Resort. Town is a couple miles away m, but it's an easy bike ride (I travel with a foldable e-bike).

Airport neatly mowed, pavement in good shape. Recent cow patties on runway suggest recent issue with broken fencing. Temperature in the low 80's, a near to 90 degree cross wind created a slight tailwind on 03. Struggled with downdrafts on climb out off 03. 21 could have been a disaster, as it goes straight towards the mountains, slopes up. A one mile walk on a lightly traveled road leads to Sierraville, there is very fine Mexican food at Los Dos Hermanos. Really fun, but be careful.

Runway condition has worsened over the last twelve months. Now has a large volume of weeds growing through cracks in the pavement. Otherwise good small airport with fine paved parking area with tie-down ropes.
