July 28, 2025Fee to get into town is now $20 each way. But Grass Valley is a cute little town with fine shops and eateries.

May 15, 2025Airport has Cal Fire operations during fire season. They have special landing operations including high speed mid field breaks into the left down wind of 07 when the normal operation is left traffic for 25.

June 4, 2023Valentina’s is now SHUT DOWN. Lots of good eateries. My preferred Thai cuisine is Sopa Thai in Nevada City. Also quite delicious is Heartwood. In Grass Valley look into Meze for vegetable or vegan selections. Cerino’s is wonderful for superb food if an omnivore. Regarding landing on 25, watch for swirly’s on short final.
