May 5, 2026New branding, plus higher fees for jets. The catch is the minimum fuel. Atlantic usually requires 158 gallons for a Citation, but at this location the minimum is 230 gallons.

January 7, 2026Very fine FBO. Very welcoming. Provided us a courtesy car to drive into town for brunch. Didn't purchase fuel for the return in a C182 to NE Fl. Only charge was a parking/Admin fee - I think under $16. Full services if you need them. Would certainly recommend/use them again.

October 30, 2025Flew a Baron in today to collect a pax. They marshalled me to parking, added the requested fuel. The terminal was fine. Good service and nice facility.

October 10, 2025First time up to SSI for the BBQ. Good food, good people. Avgas not too costly considering the tourist clientele either. Highly recommend Beachcombers!

September 24, 2025First trip to St Simmons in the Bonanza. Met by the lineman during the taxi in. He waited to supply us a ride to the FBO. Was proactively offered a courtesy car for the afternoon. Another lineman offered us a ride back to the plane on departure. Beautiful facility. Good people. Fantastic experience. Thank you!

February 9, 2026Awesome stop at velocity. Flew in a pa-28, paid the $16 facility fee, which is very reasonable, and grabbed the crew car to go explore the city. Everyone was super friendly and the facilities are top notch!

December 24, 2025Good FBO and personnel. $40 overnight fee for a twin was worth it for the fine fuel costs and lodging onsite. The family loved the spot. Certainly hope to come back someday.

December 19, 2025Velocity has paid attention to the GA community and lowered their self serve 100LL cost to the lowest within about a 75 mile radius of SSI. Quite competitive and it requires only a 10 gallon purchase from self serve to waive any ramp fees. Superb FBO, fine new crew cars, good nearby BBQ, and inexpensive fuel. Good on them for hearing the worries of their users!

October 1, 2025Flew in for the weekend in a Cessna 172. Called ahead to confirm charges. Which came to about $20 per night for parking and $15 ramp fee, but the ramp fee was waived with 10 gal. of fuel. Fine FBO, cordial personnel.

September 9, 2025I've been visiting this airport for 10 years, never had a poor experience until lately, somebody mentioned velocity didn't want small planes, they could be correct. When I landed I was the sole single on the ramp, nobody marshalled me in , I tied my plane down and walked to the fbo. Did I also mention the is a $200.00 per month fee to park a car in the grass out back
