February 28, 2026Trying to get an instrument clearance on the ground will absolutely test your patience. Luckily, I’d been warned ahead of time. Basically, there’s only one method that really works - call Jax Center on the phone. The person who answers will try to push you toward using a radio frequency to reach CD, but it won’t work. Just stay on him. This morning, with 500 OVC and a G5 behind me trying to get their clearance, it took almost 20 minutes before we finally got released. Once airborne, everything is normal!

December 24, 2025The extender frequency has been discontinued (131.37). You must call by phone, RCO, or Jax Center to receive your clearance. Do not proceed to the end of Alpha, holding short of 4, and attempt to call Jax; they will not be able to hear you.

December 17, 2025Arrived at 9pm after the FBO services close. Fuel farm (self serve) wasn't operating and after calling the help desk, a Mr. Moon arrived to save my commercial 300 XC flight. I am so very thankful to him for that. That being said I had been delayed almost 3 hours because of the inop fuel farm that was not a NOTAM.

All vfr aircraft adhere to std lh traffic pat.
