June 25, 2026Passed over KSJX a few hours back. They're putting down the runway paint now. Seems like it could be back open by Friday. Fingers crossed.

March 14, 2026Airport closure update for runway work. The tentative date for shutting down the airport so runway paving can begin is May 26, 2026. Per the contractor, that still depends on equipment making it to the island by then. The closure is expected to last about 1 month.
