June 19, 2026We’ve seen a number of aircraft end up stuck in soft ground, particularly along the runway edges. It’s an even bigger concern in springtime, following heavy rain, and with aircraft carrying small tires. Keep well clear of the drainage ditches. The parking area closest to the fire ring is usually drier. Check the weather and be sure to read the NOTAM's for 6Y3.

September 17, 2025This spot has been on my list of locations to visit for many years. I reviewed the RAF briefings and notes on this site. We took an extended journey for a Saturday evening on the isle and it was wonderful. Pireps here are all correct except my son was let down not to discover even one snake!

May 5, 2025Lots of ice storm damage on N Fox to be cleaned up. Runway is clear but limbs & trees are down everywhere. Bring a chainsaw & help out if you can.
