Found ourselves in the midst of “Bonanzas to Oshkosh” on departure which was fun.

While they did not have a car available (not supplied by city) they were very helpful in pointing me toward local firms to assist with a set of wheels. Enjoyable small airport to fly into if arriving from the north since you fly over some rolling hills.

July 28, 2021 Departed Appleton to Winona, MN to then drive to Nelson, WI to visit friends. This FBO is a true classic, time has stood still, a reminder of what flying was like. The service was exceptional and very accommodating. We were put in their main hangar due to expected thunderstorms that evening. Definitely a spot I would like to visit again.
