August 21, 2025Landed here as part of a mountain course route. Beautiful airport in a valley nice personnel good self serve fuel equipment. The approach and landing is something to experience. My preferred stop in the mountains so far. Thumbs up!

September 28, 2024A good airport with fine fuel costs. If you have time visit the varied town and stop in Slope and Hatch for lunch. Highly suggest on all accounts.

September 19, 2024Stopped in GWS for the finest fuel costs within a 100 mile radius. The runway is narrow, but it is more than sufficient for my 42' wingspan Piper Mirage. The asphalt is in good condition. The fuel pumps and tanks are absolutely brand new. The local pilots association took over the airport from the city about a year ago. They have made substantial enhancements, and everything now works well. The area is beautiful, and final into the airport is dramatic and memorable. I will certainly be back!
