November 18, 2025Overnighted here at the superb campground adjacent to west side of midfield. Potable water, restrooms, tables and fire rings. Small taxiway/ramp adjacent although close to runway edge. 45 min walk into interesting town, selections of eateries.

August 16, 2022Comment should be updated for Runway 35. There is a pole on the left at the end of the runway. Best practice is to come up and level off to have the poll in sight (its to the left of the runway). Be sure not to drift left until clear.

July 20, 2022Georgetown was a fuel stop for me in June 2022. Not the finest experience. EPIC fuel terminal is 15+ years old technology and took several tries to accept a credit card. Fuel hose rewind was broken. Fuel nozzle leaked profusely. Fuel pump was intermittent, surging on and off and finally just shut down leaving me with 3/4 full tanks. Nobody in attendance at the field. Runway signage is outdated pointing to runway 16. Single runway, no parallel taxiway to runway 17. Overall a disappointing experience with a challenging runway and approach. There are several other local airports, suggest use those for a better fuel stop experience in future.
