February 28, 2026Really nice airport to fly into, and there are rental car options over at Modern Aviation. Tower was friendly. Monica at Modern Aviation was very helpful and pleasant, and Adam (ramp service) was great. The town of Mystic was only a 15 min ride away. Going back again !

February 19, 2026Modern Aviation KGON is one of the best FBOs, with very friendly and helpful staff. They offer a crew car, and the airport is about a 15 min drive into Mystic.

February 18, 2026I’ve been using this FBO in all its different forms for more than 40 years, going back to when it was Columbia Air Service in 1984. I was a little uneasy when Modern Aviation bought it, but the employees stayed put, and that’s a big reason this business still really shines. I’ve got a pretty unique view of the place, since I’ve used this FBO for personal flying in a Cessna 210 and for business in a Gulfstream G500. No matter which aircraft I’m in, the service is always friendly and first class. Highly recommended.
