July 10, 2026Single-engine piston aircraft are $125/night, with ramp and security fees charged separately.

June 27, 2026Single-engine Bonanza parking is $135 a night, plus a $50 facility fee and $15 infrastructure fee! That makes $200 for the first night! I've flown into KCLT for years, and Wilson was consistently a great experience... the employees, the entire FBO. Then Modern shows up and pushes small GA out. Ramp space never appeared to be a problem, so I just don't understand it. Sad. And with no competition, the larger charters/fractionals simply pass those fees along to their pax. Hopefully they’ll start looking at alternatives to KCLT.

March 14, 2026Fuel payment at GPT, with WFS handling the fuel.

January 27, 2026Our company, a 135 operator, comes in and out a few times a month, mostly in light jets. Over the last few months the pricing policy has been changed, and it is way out of line with industry standard. The minimum fuel needed to waive the handling fee is now 350 gallons. It was 150 in December 2025. Normally the uplift to waive the handling charge is about the same as, or close to, the aircraft's 1st hour fuel burn - around 200 gallons for us. Please be advised. It really ruins the experience.

November 28, 2025Call regarding the new charges before you plan to go! I've been flying in and out of Modern for the past 5 months weekly and flew up with a companion on 12/31/25 and was told they would be putting in a drastic rise in charges... I used this FBO to commute to and from work. Overnight parking for a piston single is now $137/night! I guess I will be driving from here on out, it's quite disappointing. I don't think they even waive a night or the facility fee anymore either with 15 gallons of avgas.

July 9, 2026The ramp and overnight charges are absolutely outrageous. They want $125 per night for a small single-engine piston, or $185 per night for a small turboprop.

June 20, 2026New FBO, new fees! For a single-engine Columbia, parking is $135 per night, plus a $50 Facility fee and $15 infrastructure charge! That makes $200 the first night! I've been flying into KCLT for 20 years, and Wilson Air Center was always a great experience. This was my last flight into Modern at KCLT!

April 29, 2026Fees have basically doubled, and they raised the minimum fuel requirement needed to waive the ramp fee. Piston twin minimum is 40 gallons now, not 30.. The ramp fee is $125, plus $15 for security, making $140 total.. it used to be $70. These were the highest fees and "minimum fuel" requirements we ran into, even compared with JFK and TEB.. it's cheaper at those airports.

January 20, 2026They’re bumping overnight fees up starting June 1st to $199 a night for single engine piston. Buyer beware. No way to stop them.

January 10, 2026I was enroute to Charlotte and had a friend advise me that Modern Aviation increased their fees. I previously paid $25 for an overnight with a quite high fuel price at Modern since they took over from Wilson Air. It is now $149 per night for a small piston air plane and a $15 landing charge plus they have quite high fuel prices. This was formerly my go to spot when I would come to my house on Lake Norman. They have lost my patronage and I will ensure they lose everyone else's patronage I can speak with.
