March 25, 2025Be skeptical of winds from the AWOS and the main windsock, since both are shaded from prevailing winds by a stand of trees and can read deceptively low. If wind is from the usual NW, consider landing a bit long on 25 to avoid flaring right in the turbulence in the shadow of those trees.

July 29, 2024The museum on the field is very impressive. Absolutely worth checking out. We went to Twin Peaks for lunch and had some fine food. You can walk directly west from the runway to get there.
