May 20, 2024Most lovely approach over the Columbia River and the Gorge. The gorge makes a wind tunnel effect delivering steady 30 knots from the NW which might seem daunting, but with two big well aligned runways, it is not truly uncomfortable. Folks at Hood FBO were very welcoming, supplied a crew car and directions to town across the fine old yellow iron bridge. The WA stamp is at Hood too. Incredible spot to fly.

March 27, 2024We landed for weather on the way to pdx. The wind in the area was nuts for my little plane, but the big beautiful runway was perfectly lined up with it. After a good 45 minutes of stress, the smooth landing was a high like no other!
