They have lately resurfaced a segment of the breadth and extent of this aged military base including taxiways and it was quite smooth when I landed there for a brief stopover with an old friend on October 5th, 2025. The FBO facility is accessible and there is even a pay phone on the partition. There was a small icebox with several containers of cool water and an area to utilize the lavatory and clean up. It was certainly a ghost town but if you require a lavatory stop or some complete quiet, drop by. There were zero tie downs.
