Really solid airport, and it’s only about a $10 cab ride from downtown Memphis. Fuel prices are good, and they don’t charge overnight tie-down fees for single-engine pistons. On departure with my three children, the battery in our Cirrus died and we couldn’t get the engine started. The nice guys working the line that day hauled out his GPU and gave us a jump start. We’ll definitely be back again, no question.

This is about the ideal GA airport if you're visiting Memphis. Runways and ramp are in great shape, fuel is easy and affordable, but the best part is the friendly staff, especially Justin. He comes out to greet you, will help move your airplane, helps with whatever you need, and really matches what he calls the 'laid back' culture. Airport is an easy Lyft ride to downtown. Memphis is worth the trip and Dewitt Spain is the right place to park.

Flew into Dewitt Spain to watch the Navy bowl game. Justin met us at the aircraft, assisted us with our luggage when we arrived. As we were preparing to depart, I noticed he had wiped the plane down. He offered to bring the plane to us so we would not have to carry all of our luggage out to the plane. Total class act. If we return to Memphis, we're headed back to Dewitt Spain for sure.
