12 Mar 26 - Plan on a little extra stopping distance because it looks like cement was used to fill the cracks on runway 9R/27L, and there’s still some cement plus bits of gravel in the cracks, which cuts down traction. That’s what was making my tires chirp every couple seconds while I was braking after landing. Not a safety issue since the runway is plenty long enough for most GA aircraft, just keep it in mind so you don’t get surprised like I did today and know it’ll take a bit longer to stop.

Good stop! Went to check out glider planes - No fuel unless you are a tow plane based there - Fine friendly restaurant - try the banana walnut or lemon bread baked on site! ( I departed with a few loafs ) Parking beyond limited - more like nonexistent unless you are based there / glider or one plane - Airport staff pointed out that a better GA airport was only a few miles away and closer to town but once informed there for gliders “ welcome mat “ was rolled out!
