March 11, 2026Just got in and got out again, of course, earlier this morning (2-28-26). The runway is a little rough, but all in all not too bad. There's enough loose gravel and stuff on the runway that I'd skip the run up. Unless you're running a three blade prop (more clearance). We were in a 182, no wheel pants, but I think it would've been fine even with wheel pants.

February 22, 2026Came in yesterday (3/13/26) in a 182T with factory tires and wheel pants. It was about 90 degrees and the field has a pretty steady spider-web buckling pattern that had the mains going "thump-thump-thump," but with normal rough/soft-field technique, the airplane was fine. I didn't notice any big obstacles that looked like they'd do real damage. Takeoff was the same deal. A powered light glider, and the park ranger's Cessna (with beefier tires) also landed while I was there with no incident.

December 31, 2025I just walked this runway and all I can say is you'd better know exactly what you're attempting if you try to land. Substantial heaves and cracks throughout.
