March 12, 2026There’s basically no tie-down provision anymore. The cable system is gone, and even though the anchors are still there, they’re spaced way too far apart. You’ll need your own tie-down straps with some length to get it done. The runway keeps falling apart too. Expect asphalt chunks from the rough ridges where the expansion cracks are breaking up. And be sure to sign the pilot log in the restroom building so your use of this historic public access airfield gets counted.

March 10, 2026Put it down on 02/18/2026 on runway 15 in a C182S with wheel pants. Pretty much the same as the earlier comments: rough, but absolutely doable.

March 1, 2026Put a C182 down on Rwy 15 on 2/26/26, no wheel pants. Like a few others have noted, the east side is the better choice - pretty manageable if you use soft field technique. Rollout was rough, but the asphalt chunks and debris aren't big and I didn't run into any major potholes or deep/wide cracks. The surface issues are mostly long fractures that run parallel to the center line, and they're spaced far enough apart that the 9' wide main gear could stay between the parallel cracks on takeoff.
