Not sure where all the cordial comments here stem from. My second time here in 2 years. Personnel were sitting in chairs inside upon arrival. No issue, I'm quite self-reliant. Personnel stares at you when you walk in and nobody says hello. I could not figure out what was occurring. Returned a few hours later to the same distant faces. I got fuel and was on my path. So zero grievances regarding that. Absolutely a 0/10 for welcoming FBO. It was strange. Inviting and easy to talk to are not terms I would employ for this FBO.

Had to divert here for taking care of a sick passenger on a Sunday Afternoon. The FBO people were very kind and helpful. They provided us with cleanup essentials and were very accommodating. FBO is large, clean and has a coffee machine. Highly recommended as a stop.

This is a wonderful FBO. We landed here for fuel on a cross country trip in a couple of Cubs. We had a maintenance issue with one of them that we discovered upon arrival. Norm from the FBO went above and beyond to assist us find tools so we could diagnose the issue, find a mechanic on the field, and obtain the component that we needed to be able to continue our journey. All on a Sunday afternoon. Will certainly be back here and highly recommend this FBO!

I must agree with Luke's remarks. Not one of the more welcoming FBOs by a long shot. The fellow driving the fuel truck was good, since we both shared a laugh about the $1.10 difference in fuel costs between Valpo and Lansing. But once I went inside to check if there was a ramp fee for not purchasing overpriced gas, I needed to stand there and wait for the 2 staff members to finish their discussion over nothing really significant to interrupt and inquire. Head to KIGQ for fuel.

Stopped here again after weather diversion. Personnel were extraordinarily helpful. The facility is excellent. This is always a good stop for either a quick top off with SS fuel or for an overnight.

Stopped at VPZ for a fuel stop on our way to OSH 22. Lowest fuel price in the area (used the self serve pump) plus an OSH discount. FBO personnel were very nice and FBO is clean, well kept and quite large. I would certainly not hesitate to stop here again.

Stopped here for fuel on the way back from Oshkosh. Personnel were all very friendly and the FBO was tidy and well-kept. There are several eateries in the vicinity. We had breakfast at Viking Chili Bowl which is about 3 miles from the airport, and it was tasty. They have a couple of crew cars available, and the one we obtained was very clean. I would certainly recommend this stop for anyone passing thru or to the Chicago area.
