Good maintenance crew. Called to roughly schedule a VFR transponder check on an experimental open cockpit biplane. They were very flexible & understanding of weather/wind conditions that could prevent safe operation. Aimed for a week that looked fine, & called them before launching to verify they could still fit me in. Arrived & marshaled right in front of the hangar where two techs immediately performed the inspection. Went to FBO to settle up and got underway. Very fair cost. 10/10

Fine FBO with good crew lounge. Simple to depart VFR and pick up clearance airborne.

First time to utilize Tom Wood Aviation. I was somewhat let down. I believe the FBO is truly focused towards the flight school segment of the operation instead of transit planes. We arrived around 5:30p middle of the week. Nobody greeted us on the ramp or assisted in any manner. Inside we were asked to check in and if we required anything. I inquired if they perhaps had hangar room for the evening. I was informed the hangar was utilized for maintenance and flight school planes. After confirming I was told a space was open provided we were departing early the following day. I was thankful and agreed. Departing the next morning still no assistance with baggage and the small amount of fuel I procured was mostly put in one wing leaving us almost past balance limits. After we stopped at our subsequent fuel location I observed Tom Wood Aviation had marred the finish on the nose wheel pant with their tug. My error, I should have noticed that on the preflight! We have relatives in Indy and have used Jet Access at KMQJ. I will return my

Conveniently situated in Fishers very close to lots of fine eateries. FBO is quite strict on crew car usage being under 1 hour and would not permit us to use it at dinner time if we were planning for a sit down meal. Uber was very slow to arrive for us here.

This is a fine independent FBO. They have multiple courtesy cars and a very caring staff. Lots of restaurants and hotels very close to the airport.

I picked up a passenger and used KUMP as I always supposed they were more welcoming to small planes than the other airports around Indy. When I taxied to the ramp, nobody was present to guide me to a parking area. I left my engine running and my passenger boarded with a $150 ramp fee bill. Yes, I'm flying a jet... a single engine jet (SF50) that does not weigh any more than a TBM, M600, etc. (they have jet engines too in case anyone was wondering.) I'll be using KTQY in the future.

Do not rent a vehicle from Hertz. They did not deliver, nor answer their phones…. FBO recommends Enterprise.
