Just went to Tahoe for a weekend getaway with my wife and 2 kids (1 yo and 2yo), not easy traveling! They made it sooo convenient and helped me every step of the way, even loading my bags into the Uber. Had good hotel and food recommendations , I look forward to coming back here again. Very welcoming and useful personnel We remained two evenings with a Piper arrow 2500 lbs MTOW Even we took 15 gallons 100 LL they billed us 2 at $24 ramp charge and and 2 at $15 tiedown charge, in total $78 charges for two evenings, rather substantial for a small paper arrow

I flew into the South Lake Tahoe Airport and was amazed at how cordial the personnel was at the Mountain West FBO. That is a facility you want to visit..

+1 for Mountain West Aviation. We phoned ahead and were given a direct line to Enterprise where they dropped off a car for us. A miscommunication had us calling for fuel after hours but their guy was more than helpful and quick, even waiting around till we got our stubborn 470 started, and reached us on the radio as we departed. Will certainly return shortly!

Good experience with Mountain West Aviation. Directed me to tie-down upon arrival and communicated charges. Our Cessna 182 was charged $10 from city and $15 from them so $50 for two nights (leaving before noon on departure day). Little known fact: airport was utilized to film Top Gun 2, and airport used to have commercial service back in the day. Turbulent approach on final to Rwy 18 in the afternoon.

Very welcoming personnel. Simple email contact prior to arrival. Handily situated near many good lodgings. They close early during low season, so monitor the operating hours. Advised.

I’ve visited many fine FBOs but none have matched Mountain West. They came over assisted me tie down my plane, brought the rental car right next to the plane and aided with everything. I can’t express enough positive things about this FBO!
