June 23, 2026Friendly airport close to a metro hub. Parking is $8 at Gorge Winds, and it’s a great facility. Hertz will deliver and pick up at the FBO. I expected getting an off clearance slot as a single so close to PDX would be harder, but it happened quickly and I was on course. Runway and taxiways are in great shape, and ATC was helpful. Will be back.

March 8, 2025Such a lovely airport, Gorge Winds took superb care of us, gave us a ride to our lodging, highly suggested, good FBO and plenty of transient parking.

August 14, 2024Avoid noon-1pm if you can. Tower on lunch break and lots of heli activity. Do run up at parking.
