Ascension FBO Network at Tuscaloosa National Pilot ReviewsOverall Rating:

June 11, 2026The City of Tuscaloosa uses Vector / Plane Pass to handle landing-fee billing automatically. Expect the bill to arrive a few weeks after you land. The FBO can give you an estimate based on the GTOW.

February 20, 2026Stopped in to fuel up. was told the competitor had been acquired. The fuel price charged was $0.50 higher than what the app showed. They are charging east/west coast prices. I won't be back.

January 23, 2026This is an excellent FBO across the board. A perfect stop on a cross-country trip. We will definitely be back.

January 16, 2026After seeing a bunch of Great comments about this FBO, I decided to stop in for the night! Outstanding in every way, from the ramp folks, front desk ladies, and a very accommodating General Manager! Definitely well worth a stop!!!

October 2, 2025This FBO used to be Hawthorne. BEWARE of going to this FBO. They charge very costly event charges on game days and you can expect 900$ for anything king air and higher. This is on top of the city fees... Small GA planes will not catch a break on charges either.

April 27, 2026Good Pilot lounge, fair fuel prices, and a great ramp crew. Kate at the desk was top-notch and really helped us with what we needed.

April 13, 2026Poor service all around. They had no clue what a quick turn meant and wanted a mountain of paperwork. When we departed, there wasn't a line service person anywhere to disconnect the GPU we had paid $150 for. 10/10 wouldn't recommend.

January 22, 2026Fee after fee after fee. Came in just for fuel and was gone in 30 minutes, didn't even stay the night, they waived the $20 landing fee but still charged us $40 for service on a Cherokee. Not worth it, do not recommend.

December 2, 2025Admittedly I'm a regular transient customer, and have been since 2011. The team here is good and very customer service oriented. I consistently have a fine experience and they go above and beyond to be helpful / accommodating.

September 5, 2025I've been coming to this FBO since it was called Bama air. I've always used it until now. Since its last ownership change to Ascention air, it has started charging a $100 event/activity fee on ballgame weekends. I don't know about basketball, but certainly on football weekends it does. I think that is a bit much. I just discovered that the other FBO, on the field, charges no event/activity fee. I plan on going there from now on. I don't fly a multimillion dollar jet. Every penny matters.
