Beware flew in here quite a bit fuel pump only functions half the time. Have to ring a doorbell wait on someone remote to answer to gain access to restrooms. Not my primary choice for a stop, runways are in good shape.

Good place to stop and stretch your legs! Fuel was inexpensive and the people are down home friendly! Clean restrooms and a comfortable couch to relax. Get an Uber to Blackland Smokehouse BBQ in Sweetwater! Best ever!

I called today to ask about stopping for AvGas and lunch. Was told no loaner car accessible. Also was told that taxis / Ubers were not dependably available. Suggest you call ahead if you will need ground transportation.

Landed at KSWW 4/27/22. Had some trouble with my flaps sticking. Bob arranged for an AP to come down and get me going again. He then took us to town to grab a sandwich while he ran into town to run an errand. Good support and very friendly.

We flew into Sweetwater yesterday for fuel, to dine at Allen's, and to see the WASP Museum. What a fine stop. Len met us at the plane before we could even exit to offer his help. We borrowed a very fine crew car and had a good visit. I would highly suggest stopping here. He also gave us his card and let us know that a crew car or airplane maintenance is available 24 hours a day. Thanks Len!

We flew in on Saturday to visit the WASP Museum. It is 3/4 mile away. The FBO owner Bob, was gracious and drove us there in his truck. The museum is excellent! Very good photos and stories of the ladies who delivered thousands of fighters and bombers during WW2. Although Bob offered to pick us up, we walked back. If you are there Tuesday to Friday, the museum staff will drive you back. Superb airport!
