Lost alternator so diverted to Susanville CA. Welcoming FBO helped remove the cowling & troubleshoot. Waiting for the new alternator to be overnighted, FBO gave us use of a Crown Vic which held our bikes, & suggested the Bizz Johnson rail to trail, complete with tunnels, which was fantastic, They also suggested hotels and dining spots. FBO called at 9 AM while we were hiking in the local Ranch Park to say the alternator had arrived. Installed it and off again. Thanks to Terry, Pete, and Jake.

The welcoming personnel went out of their way to assist us.

Called ahead that I was inbound and Steve said he would wait for me arriving after 5 pm. He had a courtesy car warmed up and made arrangements for a hotel stay. Can’t say enough with the hospitality I received. Thank you for making my overnight great. Another hidden gem maybe off the beaten path. Well worth the stop.

No self serve, only a fuel truck option. So dont show up too late. That said, the fellas there are good. They suggested a motel, a dining spot, and lent me a courtesy car for the evening. Very useful, strongly suggest.

Stopped in once more. Tie downs with chains available. No overnight parking charge with fuel purchase. Cordial service. Get the gate code if you require access to your plane before or after hours. Crew car available.

Called ahead a few days to arrange for an oil change on a long trip. They worked me into their schedule. They are quite often at the FBO early or after hours. Very cordial and helpful. Fuel is only available by truck. Call ahead and talk to Steve if you might arrive before or after hours.

Cannot say enough about how good these folks were. We landed at night well after closing, but they were around hosting an eaa meeting. They gave us the courtesy car overnight and even helped us troubleshoot a hard starting plane in the morning when it was 28 degrees. Certainly on our list as a preferred fbo. Fine hats for sale too.
