Superb FBO facilities. Line staff and also owner Calvin were cordial and helpful. Would not hesitate to go here in place of the now-pricier Vantage at DLH, around the same travel duration from downtown/canal park sections. Fine flight school also, planes had comparable costs and fine availability with adaptable instructors.

There is no longer a dining facility on site.

Fine structure, good personnel, complimentary car available with fuel purchase, otherwise there is a charge (2hrs limit).

Good service and a quite pleasant small airport.

The on-field mechanic (Bryce?) misdiagnosed my bad alternator as a bad regulator, then charged me $800 to swap the alt (lycoming O-235) which is 2 bolts and a belt and I PAID FOR THE ALTERNATOR!!! Went to depart, fuel pressure gauge pegged full. Mechanic got aggressive when confronted with that, accusing me of trying to get over on him. Very poor experience here at the repair shop. I would strongly suggest traveling to Duluth for any needed repairs if feasible. VERY DISSAPOINTING EXPERIENCE
