This isn't the absolute worst FBO in the country. That spot is at my home airport at KHCR. Here, yeah, it's a ski town, and it's Atlantic. SS fuel has stayed around $6 for as long as I can remember, going back the last 2-3 years. Additional, I always feel welcomed by the staff in my cirrus, and they have gone out of their way to help me quite a bit. I have a tie down as well, so they're just being good people. Cort, who is the responsive GM, has fixed the issue and owned it whenever I've pointed something out.

Atlantic Aviation has always been fine to me, and not too costly if you do not purchase much fuel. They kindly advised me for my last visit that I can avoid their charges by parking in section 2. Entry to that area is available online through the city airport website. Parking charges are managed by vector. fuel at Sun Valley is costly, like most mountain resort towns. I stopped at GNG on the way out, a little extra duration, but the fuel is half the price. So, you have an option.

Visited for a couple evenings. Self parking near the self-serve pumps was simple enough (blue tie downs). We did not require any fuel and their charges were fair in my view. Friendly and helpful front desk/line staff. Fine FBO.

They can charge whatever they want and they do charge whatever they want. They have exclusive rights, by the city, to skin you to the bone if you want to land a plane within a hour and a half of sun valley.

Spent one night. Kind and courteous personnel inside. I had an Avis car reserved but Avis won't drop vehicles at Atlantic. They suggested using Hertz and the cars are parked right at the FBO. Most disappointing aspect was that access to the self serve was shut when I arrived the next morning. I had let them know that I was going to use self serve and they even acknowledged that they had a note in their system but didn't call me. They wouldn't match the self serve cost so I ended up paying over $100 more.

The same fuel truck delivers JetA down the road under 2 hours away by car. The fuel price there is nearly 3 times less costly.

We came in yesterday with our C560 to drop off him and his brother and his fiancee. It was a half hour stop. And it was not busy at all on the ramp. fuel costs are over 9 dollar a gallons. More egregious, was the $950 event charge. I asked why. The answer was there is not an event just holidays so we charge an event fee. December 28 hardly qualifies as an event. It was not busy and there was no extra personnel. This monopolistic behavior is why Atlantic is so disliked in the industry.

ZERO STARS. Insanely high charges, bad service. Today, multiple fuel trucks out of service, terribly understaffed, no one qualified to deice aircraft. Monday at 11am, five planes on the ramp. Staff were hustling and doing their best...but it's no match for poor management, and too few people with too little experience.

$$$$$ Atlantic continues to be very greedy at this location. We were to shuttle kids in for Angel Flight West to camps, and called the FBO to ask about landing fees and fuel discounts for charity groups. No change to fees offered, and fuel twice the cost (JetA @ $9.30/gal) of places within 25NM. No balance here. They just charge as much as possible, to everyone, in the name of profit. Seems like a little competition and compassion on the field is warranted and needed. We hauled the kids into KGNG and they enjoyed a bus ride a bit longer.

I just visited in my Mooney and Atlantic was fine to us. Fees were sensible. I called ahead and they told me to park in the blue transient spots near the self serve (north of the fbo). The airfield takes badges and security a little too serious. You need to call for an escort OUT of the gate to the fbo to get your car. Atlantic escorted us both ways so we could get our rental to the plane. I bought self serve gas which waived the $40 infrastructure fee. Total was $25 for 1 night.
