Courtesy car and friendly folks made for a good lunch stop. The Smokin' Hereford BBQ place was a quick drive with really fine BBQ.

I fully agree with Nathan S on Jason D being employee of the month. Stopped thru going Salida and he couldn't have been more helpful. He even gave me some mountain flying suggestions that helped relieve any worry. Top notch fellow.

Self serve 100LL in good condition and superb costs. Welcoming manager and a crew vehicle available to fetch some food. Wonderful XC stop.

An amazing FBO, Bart and John welcomed us and let us o/n in the pilot lounge. We took The courtesy car to visit the town and it is a culinary gem. The museum is certainly worth visiting and we drove around the lake and took a swim. It was fun to watch the crop dusters in action and our Grumman was the only non-AG plane in sight. Wonderful, friendly folk and a superb place to visit. Will definitely be back to have the finest selection of cuisine in Iowa.

i cannot say enough good things about this spot whenever we visit Storm Lake. Good small airport. Wonderful town. Personnel is very welcoming and polite and so supportive. Runway is in fine shape. Jason D should be named worker of the month for his assistance during my recent stop there!
