Make SURE you have your pilot credentials and are willing to undergo a brief investigation from the desk staff before being granted access to your A/C at ksan sig. Also, Apparently if you have the keys to the aircraft you won't have to show said credentials and will then be buzzed thru.

Heads up to anybody quick turning they charge you 25 bucks to have food brought over. Apparently this is what Signature has been reduced to....

Signature is charging large jet price for a mid jet! $1900 handling fee....

Poorly managed FBO at best. This year we have visited 8 times... 5 times they never completed Lav service that was repeatedly requested, all 8 times they were over 1 hr delayed pulling our plane to the ramp (they always give the reason that they "already informed the line guys" even though they're usually standing around unaware that a plane needs to be pulled), or they say the ramps full when it's plainly empty. 90% of the time it's the 2 front desk reps that havent done what they were supposed to.

The CSR at the front desk was anything but welcoming. Was not helpful in the slightest. Could not comprehend why I would not sign the signature release of liability. This FBO knows it has a monopoly.

Friendly personnel. They did proceed to charge me with a $250/hour fee for remaining parked after closing time even after I consistently asked their lobby and line staff beforehand for a summary of charges...

For a Bonanza: $30 handling (waived with fuel), $115 per night (or $7 per hour).

I fly a single engine piston into this Signature at least twice a month and I cannot say there is much to criticize. The personnel has been very cordial every occasion, giving area food suggestions and even providing a crew automobile without me asking beforehand. Fueled and turned around fast when I need to leave. Avgas is costly here (what int'l airport is not) but I am prepared to pay it for this standard of welcoming service. Absolutely my top selection for weekend journeys to San Diego, cannot surpass it.

I went here twice last week on business. Everyone was very fine, service was perfect. I knew about high fuel costs so it wasn’t a surprise. Beautiful, convenient facility. Land high and long, take off steep behind the big iron :-)
