January 11, 2026Flew into RKD for a practice landing and wound up with a flat nose tire while taxiing. The response from Downeast Air was instant and exceptional. Together with the airport Sheriff and the local flight club, they went way above and beyond, providing towing, hangar space, comfortable accommodations, a courtesy car, and more. The flight club also helped us get connected with an A&P. Special thanks to Lonny Boline of Ascend Air for making the trip to RKD and getting us back in the air. Outstanding support all around.

September 3, 2025Flew in two times in the past couple of weeks. Both times the rental car was waiting on the ramp where I was directed to park. Good service and good fuel price, especially for full serve. And of course the area is absolutely beautiful.
