City of Porterville (KPTV)

We were aiming for a fast Sunday turn around noon. There was plenty of skydiver activity, but it didn’t create any problems for us. The cafe was crowded with a line, and although they fueled the plane promptly, waiting for food made the quick turn impossible. The food was good. The FBO is just a small, single-room office and nothing fancy. Full-service fuel was reasonably priced. It’s a good thing they have a busy cafe; we simply showed up at the wrong time when trying to turn quickly.

Really disappointed. Yelp says they’re open, so I flew all the way up here for fuel and a good breakfast. Instead, a young man met me at the door and said the restaurant was closed for the day. Be aware.... at the very least, call ahead. We shouldn’t have to do that-your hours are posted. Do your darn job. Unreliable service.
