Called ahead for weekend support at the FBO which required fee. Jake was good with communication and got us parked and into the Ford 500 crew car. Worked fine for our day trip on the island. Look at NOTAMs for all of the inop equipment (ex 04 PAPI not working, etc). Would stop by again. Alpaca farm right near airport if you're feeling adventurous :)

Fine small airport with much history. Lovely location on the edge of Lake Erie, Grosse Ile is gem.

Enjoyed a good XC flight to ONZ on 6/27 from SW Ohio. A scenic approach over Lake Erie and an over-water final into Rwy 04. FBO personnel was good and had the crew car accessible as promised. Shout-out to Jake at the front desk. Cordial people from the flight school assisted with directions to Lloyd's for lunch since cell phone service is almost non existent. Wi-Fi is accessible at the FBO. Watch out for the Canadian airspace which is very close to the airfield and runway 04/22!
