August 16, 2022Landed in KMLT on a cross country trip to visit Baxter State Park. Were greeted by Jeff the airport manager who helped with refueling and parking of the plane. Jeff doesn’t have rental vehicles anymore like before the pandemic but was still very helpful in getting us local contacts who provide shuttle service into the park. Coming back after three nights we were greeted in the same friendly manner. Highly recommended.

March 5, 2022We flew in yesterday to ski Penobscot River Trails. Jeff, the Airport Manager, was waiting for us and directed us into a tie-down spot right next to the hanger out of the wind. He chipped the ice out of the tie downs and helped us plug in the engine heater for the afternoon. Good service in 14 degree weather! The airport has a new high tech snowblower and they are now keeping both runways clear in the winter.

February 3, 2022Runway 16-34 is now clear and open in the winter. Airport has just acquired a new high tech very powerful snowblower to clear the runways.
