Stopped at KLUA for the first time today. Fine airfield, and superb FBO. Fine new facilities and Roger was fantastic. He gave us a ride into town, and picked us up after lunch. We were very well cared for and we will absolutely return. Thank you Roger!

I cannot say a good enough good things about the personnel working at this airport. We arrived after a long difficult journey, it was freezing. Cordell put our plane in a hanger, loaned us a car and plowed the runway of snow in the morning so that we could be on our way. I hope that my travels bring me back here one day!

We were thrilled to meet Danny after all of the prior reviews. It turned out Danny moved on July 1. So we were greeted by the new airport manager, Jimmy upon landing. He met us at the plane ready to take us wherever we needed to go. Even provided a drive down Main Street to show us all of the highlights. Dropped us off and picked us up at Luray Caverns. Next morning picked us up at our hotel to take us back to the airport. Can’t beat the degree of service with Jimmy at KLUA.

Had a wonderful family trip to KLUA. They run 3-4 shuttles non stop to the caverns on weekends and have crew cars during the week. We were dropped on our way back at a superb BBQ stand and picked back up and dropped at our plane. I will certainly be returning to do some hiking, canoeing, etc nearby. It was very fine to be welcomed on unicom and offered a ride.

I cannot say enough good things about this airport! We arrived after a long trip from Albany New York and Cordell took wonderful care of us. He was able to secure us a Hanger spot overnight during a snowstorm, loaned us the car and got the runway plowed in short order in the morning so that we could proceed on.

I was seeking a halfway stop between Maine and our residence in Georgia and came across Luray. After reading some reviews & researching the caverns, we chose to check it out. Called ahead & they were very glad to accommodate us. Landed and was met with a crew car and some local details. I inquired about fueling up the plane and they stated, don't worry we will manage that for you. The hospitality was amazing and it was a very nice experience in Luray overall!

Second time to return to luray airport and there is a reason. The personnel at the airport are good. Jimmy went above and beyond to give us rides around town. Truly amazing service. We will certainly be back. The Luray airport is the spot to stop for cheap fuel and outstanding service. Spent 6 hours in the caverns area. Plenty to do. Definitely recommend it as a stop.

Such a kind crew at KLUA. Danny came on the CTAF during my taxi back and offered fuel (cheap!) and a ride to the caverns. By the time we had the plane closed up, he was waiting in a car by our plane. He drove us to the restroom, then drove us to the caverns. We called him when we were finished, and less than 10 minutes after calling him, he picked us up at the entrance to the caverns, drove us to the FBO to settle up, and then drove us back to the ramp! I cannot imagine a superior experience at an FBO. Not upscale, but upscale does not mean good service and service wins every time. Will return!
