Lubbock Preston Smith International Pilot Reviews:

Our FBO experience was pretty much the reverse of what some of the comments described. The line crew was friendly, quick to respond, and helpful. We hadn't called ahead, but they still found hangar space for our plane when severe thunderstorms were moving in. The tower and ground controllers were dynamite. There was a little mix-up about my request to have the main tanks topped off by the following morning. Once I brought it up with the ground crew the next day, they promptly brought the fuel truck over and took care of it.

There is only one FBO at this field, and it is nothing special. Every week, it deals with a substantial amount of military traffic, medevacs, and charter flights for college sports teams. When the ramp gets busy, don't count on fast service-the management is poor and keeps the line understaffed. I would suggest using Lubbock Exec (F82) instead.

Outstanding line crew. Can't say enough about the whole staff! The line crew went way out of their way to help us work through a maintenance snag and get us back on our way.
