February 11, 2026When I got there, I asked for an Uber to the hotel, but nothing ever showed up. Gary, the airport manager, had just gotten in. He was nice enough to let me use the crew car for the night. Everything at the FBO is self service. You pay with the QR codes next to the item.

November 27, 2024Los Alamos AvGas, Inc. stopped functioning effective Oct. 22, 2024. Los Alamos County constructed a fresh fuel farm that will commence operations soon.

September 14, 2021This is a really good airport in a remote location. Check fuel costs prior to going if you are able. There have been some differences on the 100LL. I stopped there on the way back from Oshkosh and had difficulty with starter. I thought I was completely stranded but I located a mechanic who took a look. It took a short time but he got me going.

April 27, 2025Good stop for a long Xcountry.! Pretty ride in and views on approach. Stopped for full fuel load, used the courtesy car to grab late lunch on a Sunday and bought a T-shirt before departing. A local pilot even donated a couple quarts of oil when I stopped after hours and was unable to purchase some. Wonderful stop and friendly folks; certainly recommend.

May 13, 2022Difficult self service pump to reach. Price is outrageous. Simpler to fuel at KSAF.
