This airport is mostly unattended but is well thought out. The FBO building and self service fuel (reasonably priced) are available 24/7. Tie downs are available and signs point to where the preferred spots are. I would advise bringing your own ropes. We never needed to call the manager for anything. Xpress car rental is about a mile away. Their cars are nothing fancy, but they get the job done and I was pleased with the service. They picked me up right after we landed. Kanab is a fine town with hotels and restaurants and we used it as a launching point to visit Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks. There is significant terrain to the north. Winds were calm for us on our early AM departure so we departed south.

Recommend not to tie down in front of terminal so as to leave room for the local Scenic Charter companies who often come by and stop there for passengers.
