Sound Aircraft Services at East Hampton Town Pilot ReviewsOverall Rating:

Expectations were low arriving at this place given the other reviews. Nothing negative to report, However. And QSRs lived up to the picture

Line and desk staff are top notch. Admin personnel are rude and condescending. When complained about due to the poor customer service, was thanked for not returning to lower the traffic volume as it would be a benefit for the community! Poor taste of a business model at a public airport.

For a Bonanza I was quoted a ramp charge of $150 per calendar day, so an overnight would be 2 calendar days = $300. Not certain if there is an extra landing charge.

Single engine piston parking charge is $60 per calendar day. So an overnight stay would be $60 x 2 = $120. Plus landing fee billed separately. Current As of 9/1/23.

Not inexpensive: $300 for one night with a Citation Mustang (without taking fuel). Pleasant and simple. Still the finest airport when flying to the Hamptons.

Rude and surly. Upon landing I was admonished by the line guy to call 122.85 before taxiing onto the ramp next time (like it was 4th of July in ACK or something). I looked around and there was literally not ONE other plane on the ramp! He then marched off to hang out with the other 3 linemen who were goofing off outside the FBO while I lugged my bags across the ramp. The folks inside were quite nice so this disparagement only applies to the line staff on the afternoon shift. Avoid!

So costly for no reason, $80 to land. 182RG

I'm quite fed up with these thieves taking it out on the fellow who flies in in his 172 to visit his grandchildren. Makes me ill. I shall never go there again.

Ramp charge is currently $60 minimum for transient planes. $20 is minimum landing fee.

Ripoff alert. They are charging $50 per day ramp fee for single engine piston (e.g. Bonanza). The charge is per DAY, not overnight, so you are charged $150 for two night stay. Supposedly 1/2 of first day fee is waived with 20 gal fuel, but that's a hard minimum, no exception for top-off. There is also a separate landing fee charged by the town, you get this through mail. This is the most I ever paid for a landing anywhere in the country. Needless to say, I will not be back.
