July 12, 2026Rental cars can be arranged through the Ford Dealer, (805) 691-7370, for $75/day. Have a copy of your auto insurance policy #, rental statement, and agent phone number ready. Also bring a copy of your credit card rental coverage statement and agent #. Get this together in advance. Ford DOES NOT offer an insurance program you can buy. Lyft is available, although it costs more around here. To Do: Solvang, Santa Ynez, & local Casino are 5 min away. Santa Barbara fishing pier, bars, food (40 min)

February 16, 2024Visited with two other planes. Plenty of transient parking. Personnel there were very helpful with directions to town for a meal. It’s a short walk, but the dirt path down to the street level is steep. Take the crew car if it’s wet or if any of your companions are unsteady on their feet. The town is small and quaint, with lots of food options and shops. It’s a fun stop and worth visiting again.

January 9, 2023Landed 4 days ago and got a flat tire not very helpful people, they were very mad I got a flat tire and were saying I ruined their day! I would never treat a person with disrespect especially with a flat tire! They didn’t have any recommendations on mechanics and said figure it out your self! Airport manager kept complaining he had to close his runway! He also suggested to go off the runway so the runway would stay open! Manager also argued about the traffic patter and that doing an approach in was not a good idea, we were IFR and did the RNAV for 08 Completely legal and there were no aircraft in the pattern. I will not recommend this place for their service.

June 29, 2026The staff were really helpful, and the fuel prices seemed fairly reasonable. We’d absolutely stop here again. If you’re staying a day or two and want to explore by car, renting one is probably better than relying on Uber since the fares can get a little expensive.

June 1, 2026The tie-down charge is now $20 per day for a single-engine piston.

August 9, 2023Very cordial personnel at the office. Cool drinks are available with a small honor system contribution. There are 2 crew vehicles accessible with a contribution to the non profit organization. The cost was $20 for 2 hours. We verified and it would have been pricier to use Lyft. Plus the contribution is tax deductible too. There is also a lounge/conference space that is accessible for use if you require it.

December 3, 2022Quick stop today, utilized the restroom and back on my journey since WX was creeping in. Really fine people at the FBO with crew car. Taxi service in the area, and Uber/Lyft is hit or miss. Transient parking is EAST of the self serve fuel island with T spaces marked in white.

July 18, 2022Such a fine airport! Restrooms are open again. Service was helpful and welcoming. Transient parking has relocated. Look for blue painted markings on the ramp.
